Michela Garnero started to work in her family’s factory - Como-based textile printer, Stamperia Serica Italiana - in 2005. She is graduated from ITIS Setificio, a textile specialised high-school in Como and later from Politecnico di Milan, in industrial Design.
Stamperia Serica Italiana is made up of two main departments, the traditional one – which includes rotary and flat screen printing - and the inkjet one - where all the fabrics are treated from “ready to print” to finished product ready for tailoring. Michela is the head of this last division with a style office made of 6 employees in charge of working from the creation of the design and variations to all the processing before and after the printing providing the best set up of the 4 latest-generation printers at their disposal.
Michela Garnero is both member of the board of her own company and of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of SMI (Milano-based Sistema Moda Italia).
